Medical Education

Since 2005, the Ontario Pain Foundation has been running an annual CME.

“Academic Pain Day” is a full-day professional development course in pain management for local family physicians and is annually accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter.

The course covers topics of importance to local healthcare professionals, mainly family physicians, and includes current topics and approaches to evidence-based best practices in pain management.

•  The course typically attracts about 100 family physicians from the Greater Toronto, Niagara and Kitchener-Waterloo catchment areas.

Registration fee is kept low to attract the largest number of healthcare professionals

Funds for this event are raised by sponsors of exhibit tables.
